Creativity is not about perfection—it's about expression. Whether through the stroke of a brush or the movement of the body, I believe in honoring the unique voice within each of us.

My Journey

Origins

Born on December 21, 1994, in Kathmandu, I grew up with rhythm in my feet and color in my imagination. Dance found me early—moving to music felt as natural as breathing. What began as childhood performances on school stages evolved into a lifelong passion that would shape my identity and career.

The Dance Path

My dance journey is unconventional. I am self-taught, learning not through formal academies but through the most honest teacher: experience. Every performance taught me something new. Every stage became a classroom. By 2011, I had transitioned from student to teacher, beginning my journey at Niten Memorial School where I would spend the next 13+ years nurturing the next generation of dancers.

Specializing in Contemporary dance, Zumba, and Musical Drama, I've choreographed students to victory in multiple inter-school competitions, finding joy not in my own spotlight, but in watching my students shine.

The Artistic Awakening

In 2018, a new chapter began. Art had always whispered to me, but that year, I finally listened. I picked up brushes, explored mediums, and discovered that painting offered what dance sometimes couldn't—a permanence, a tangible expression of fleeting emotions.

Oil became my favorite medium, its richness and depth mirroring the complexity of human experience. From oils to watercolors, acrylics to charcoal, pastels to digital art—I explored them all, creating over 50 pieces and participating in annual school exhibitions. That same year, I added another role to my life: Art Teacher at Niten Memorial School.

Doodle Dance Studio

In 2021, during a time when the world needed connection, I founded Doodle Dance Studio—not as a physical space, but as a digital community. Through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, I share dance content that brings joy, movement, and energy to people's screens and lives. It's my way of keeping dance accessible, fun, and alive in the digital age.

The Philosophy

Today, I stand at the intersection of multiple creative disciplines. I don't see myself as just a dancer or just an artist or just a teacher—I am all three, and each enriches the others. Dance informs my brushstrokes with rhythm and flow. Art teaches me to see movement as composition. Teaching reminds me that creativity is not about mastery, but about courage—the courage to express, to explore, to fail, and to try again.

Current & Future

From my base in Kathmandu, Tokha, I continue to teach over 300 students at Niten Memorial School, create art available for sale and commission, and share dance content with thousands online. My work is my message: that creativity is a birthright, that expression is healing, and that art—in all its forms—is what makes us human.
